A lifelong drawer, I started painting portraits in 2022. There are so many exciting ways to portray the female face. I have always been confident in my drawing ability, but painting a portrait felt leagues away. I went to work teaching myself on how to portray the human face. I work in oil paints, watercolor, gouache, acrylic and mixed media. “The personality of the subject will drive the approach to the painting.”
